Subaru Loves to Help

Providing comfort, hope, and confidence to children in urgent need.

Helping others is the key to a strong community which is why Subaru and our retailers believe in helping to support individuals and families in urgent need. During Subaru Loves to Help® month, we partner with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Subaru is proud to be the largest automotive supporter of Operation Warm.

Subaru and its retailers visit local homeless shelters and support agencies to provide more than 150,000 children with brand-new necessities like coats, shoes and socks. Subaru and its retailers will have helped more than 750,000 children and adults in urgent need.

Subaru Loves the Earth

At Subaru, we believe what we leave behind is a reflection of who we are. That's why for over two decades, Subaru has been committed to leaving a legacy of protecting and conserving the earth for future generations. Along with our retailers across the country, Subaru works to reduce waste, conserve resources, and preserve natural spaces - taking real, meaningful steps to achieve these goals.

To support the places Subaru and our owners love most, Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the National Park Foundation and has donated over $72 million to organizations working to conserve our national parks. In addition to helping the national parks recycle and compost over 22 million pounds of waste so far, we have also helped replant more than 1 million trees.

Now more than ever, Subaru is in constant pursuit of opportunities that will protect our planet for the future. With upcoming initiatives that include expanding our zero-emission and electric vehicle lineup to eight vehicles by around 2029 and exploring innovative new ways to make a difference, we're keeping our eyes on the road ahead to protect the environment for generations to come.

Subaru Loves to Care

Approximately every three minutes, a person in the U.S. is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma. The recovery can be long and often leaves them feeling weak, cold, and isolated. At Subaru, we believe we all should have a chance to lead a healthy life.

Through our Love Promise and Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, Subaru and our retailers partner with LLS and their local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets, patient care kits, and encouraging messages of hope, written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores, to support patients facing cancer. Subaru and our retailers are providing over 8,500 blood cancer patients financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, such as transportation, food, housing, utilities, etc. through the LLS Patient Aid Program.

By the end of this year, Subaru and our retailers will have supported nearly 300,000 cancer patients nationwide.

Subaru Loves Learning

Subaru retailers help local schools and students in need through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org (AAC) and help expand our collective impact on education. Retailers adopt classrooms at partner schools by providing financial support to address specific resource needs.

Millions of students in high-needs schools lack the supplies and learning materials they need to be successful in the classroom. In fact, 92% of classrooms have students whose families cannot afford to purchase any school supplies for their children, often requiring teachers to purchase resources using their own money.

Subaru and our retailers are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning® by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are most needed to help students thrive in the classroom.

Subaru Loves Pets

According to the ASPCA®, each year approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter shelters. At Subaru, we believe all pets deserve to find loving homes.

Through our Love Promise and Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, Subaru retailers partner with a local animal organization in their community and host adoption events across the country to help local shelter pets find loving homes. New for 2024, retailer support will provide funding directly to their shelter partners through a grant administered by the ASPCA.

Subaru and our retailers are proud to have donated over $51 million to national and local organizations, which has allowed us to help in the adoption, rescue, transport, and health care of over 420,000 animals and pets.

Subaru Share the Love

Over $320 Million donated to charity.

Over the last 16 years, through the Subaru Share the Love® Event, Subaru and our participating retailers have donated more than $169,215 to charity, with customers choosing between four national charities and nearly 2,300 hometown charities.

In addition, Subaru and its retailers have:

  • Donated & Delivered More than 4.6 Million Meals
  • Helped Protect More than 400 National Parks
  • Granted More than 3,600 Wishes
  • More than 118,000 Animals Supported

White River Subaru Celebrates National Subaru Love Promise Recognition

White River Subaru is honored to have been selected as Subaru's Love Promise Story Winner for June 2026, a testament to the dealership's ongoing commitment to making a meaningful difference in the Upper Valley and beyond.  The winning story highlighted White River Subaru's partnership with the New England Healing Sports Association (NEHSA) and its role as the presenting sponsor of the 2026 Ski & Ride-a-Thon at Mount Sunapee Resort. More than just a sponsor, White River Subaru team members Patrick and Aaron embraced the event's tropical theme, hit the slopes alongside athletes and volunteers, and helped raise an incredible $65,000 in support of adaptive sports and recreation programs.

NEHSA provides year-round opportunities for veterans, children, and adults with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities to participate in adaptive skiing, snowboarding, hiking, paddle sports, pickleball, and more. By supporting programs that foster independence, confidence, and community connection, White River Subaru demonstrated what the Subaru Love Promise is all about-showing up, getting involved, and making a lasting impact.

This national recognition celebrates the passion, generosity, and community spirit that define White River Subaru's approach to giving back. Congratulations to the entire White River Subaru team on this well-deserved honor!
