The biggest benefit of getting frequent service s the safety
of you and your passengers. When you bring your vehicle in for your service
appointment, our expert technicians will take a look at the other components of
your vehicle. The next time you bring your Subaru in for an oil change, we will
inspect your tires too.
At White River Subaru, we suggest scheduling a full-service
appointment at least one time a year. Service frequency depends on how much you
drive and how well your current vehicle is maintained. If you happen to notice
anything out of the ordinary with your vehicle's performance, be sure to visit
our service department near Lebanon as soon as you can.
Oil maintenance is one of the most popular services here at
White River Subaru. Subaru recommends having your vehicle services every 6
months or 6k miles, but some of our newer Subaru models can go 7,000 miles. If
you know you are going to be doing more driving than usual, then you may need
an oil change sooner.
Vehicle fluids are important and should never be ignored.
Aside from oil, there are other fluids your vehicle needs to run. These fluids
include coolant, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and
windshield washer fluid. Our service team suggests checking them every 5,000
miles, but our technicians can check them for you when you stop by for routine
maintenance.
Your air filter can be changed every 30,000 miles. If you
drive a Subaru model that comes equipped with a turbocharged engine under the
hood, like a Subaru WRX, then you may need a replacement sooner.
Brakes are important because they make your vehicle stop.
Not only that, but brakes can help you avoid collisions. Our Subaru service
experts recommend getting your brakes checked at least once every 10,000 miles.
If you hear increased noise like squealing, it would be a good idea to bring
your car down to our Subaru service center as soon as possible.
Again, we cannot stress how important your brakes are. Keep
in mind that brake pads do wear out over time, especially because we depend on
them a lot. Brakes can be replaced every 50,000 miles, but this depends on the
brake material and your driving habits.
With factors such as your driving habits, how much you
drive, and weather conditions, it is recommended to change your Subaru car
battery every 3 to 4 years. When you see a warning light displayed on your
dashboard, or it's taking a long time to start your vehicle, come down to our
service department.
It's a good idea to receive a tire rotation every 6,000
miles or every six months. The best time to get a tire rotation is when you
bring your Subaru Impreza or Ascent down to our service center for an oil
change.
The air pressure in your tires is measured in pounds per
square inch (PSI). The PSI can range between 30 and 35 depending on which model
you drive. Just to be sure, don't forget to check your vehicle owner's manual.
You can also find the PSI displayed inside your Subaru car or SUV.
Since tires are the only part of your Subaru car or SUV that
touches the road, keeping them well-maintained is a must. Tires can last
anywhere between 20,000 to 60,000 miles. Once again, these numbers depend on
your driving style and how well your tires are maintained.
